ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE

  • The Cubmaster runs the Pack Meetings and oversees the planning of special events, volunteer placement and new Scout   recruiting.  The Cubmaster is responsible for all scout activities and meetings being fun with purpose according to the guidelines put forth by the BSA.

  • Work with the Cubmaster in running the Pack Meetings, special events, volunteer placement and new Scout recruiting.   This AC will also assists the other AC positions as needed.

  • Call and preside at Pack Parent Committee Meetings (monthly). Proactively assist Cubmaster(s) as needed with Pack
    functions. Assist Membership Chair with Annual Rechartering (Dec--Jan).  Assure all volunteers are equipped to provide and are providing a quality Cub Scout program.

  • Helps the pack committee and Cubmaster establish a sound financial program for the Pack with a Pack budget plan;  Maintains the Pack 40 bank account making deposits and paying bills as authorized by the Pack 40 Committee; Keeps up-to-date records; Periodically reports on the Pack’s financial condition; Advises pack committee on financial decisions; Assist Fundraiser volunteers in collection and payment of funds; Answers questions from pack members

  • Maintains the Pack roster; Welcomes new scout families and coordinates entry into the cub scout program; Works through Scoutbook to ensure new scouts are registered correctly.

  • Manages the advancement & awards of the Scouts. Helps plan and conduct awards ceremonies. Collects, compiles and stores advancement records. Purchases awards to be given to the Cub Scouts.

  • Schedules, coordinates, and leads monthly Pack 40 hikes.

  • Maintains Pack Calendar with details such as contact, instructions, and location directions for every activity. Manages pack monthly activities.

  • Learns about and promotes required training courses for Den Leaders and Pack Leaders (on-line and training seminars).
    Courses are offered by the District and include “Fast Start” (on-line), New Leader Essentials & Leader Specific Training; assures the Pack’s training needs (as required by BSA) are met.

  • Responsible for designing, updating and maintaining the P455 Website. Work closely with Pack & Den Leaders to make it safe, fun, and functional; Organizes photo site and promotes member contributions to photo site.  Assist members in locating photos for use in promotions, displays, and memorabilia;

  •  Lead a Den (small group) of 2nd Grade Scouts. Plan Den Meetings. Keep accurate records of attendance and advancement.  

  •  Lead a Den (small group) of 2nd Grade Scouts. Plan Den Meetings with Den Parents each required to host/lead 1-2 den meetings per year. Keep accurate records of attendance and advancement.  Goal for all Tiger Scouts is to achieve Tiger Rank by February or at least by May graduation.

    meetings per year. Keep accurate records of attendance and advancement. The goal for all 1st YR Webelos Scouts is to receive their Webelos Rank by February or at least before May graduation.

  • Lead a Patrol (small group) of 5th Grade Scouts. Den Meetings are all pre-planned with Den Parents required to host/lead
    1-2 den meetings per year. Keep accurate records of attendance and advancement.  The goal for all Senior Webelos Scouts is to receive the “Arrow of Light” award in February and cross over to Boy Scouts.
